Lisa Ramelow
Lisa Ramelow recently finished a successful 27-years in the restaurant business. She never thought of her job as serving food; instead she considered it to be “mentoring young people,” her beloved employees.
For 10 years she has also been writing real-life stories about everything from her business and community, to highlighting her beautiful shoe collection. Her stories are told with love and humor, and are well followed.
She also recently wrote an inspiring memoir about a difficult time in her life, how she persevered, and once again found joy.

A Kindness I Will Never Forget tells the story of a young woman with a 2-year-old and a newborn, who suddenly becomes widowed at age 33. She explains the shock of coming home and finding her husband collapsed on her kitchen floor, of trying to save him, and of the futility of explaining his death to her young son. She details how she navigated her way from deep sorrow and shock, to once again beginning to live life with joy and celebration.
